Mental Health First Aid training (two day)

Mental Health First Aid training (two day)

Learn how to respond effectively in a mental health crisis

Mental Health First Aid is the mental health equivalent of phyiscal first aid.

While most people are aware of common physical health issues, there is often a lack of understanding around mental health issues. This leads to stigma and prejudice, discouraging those who are affected from seeking help. This course was established to provide people with knowledge of the signs and symptoms of a range of mental health issues and the confidence to guide a person towards sources of professional support. Such an early intervention can reduce distress, help to preserve life and empower a person experiencing mental ill health to access support for recovery.

This course is suitable for a range of different settings, businesses and service sectors - from construction or finance companies to services such as the police and prison service.
